The engineering behind
the operator layer

Industry knowledge decides what to build. These six disciplines are how we write the operator layer for solar, BESS, EV charging and video. Send the brief. Estimate within 24 hours.

Six disciplines

What we do well

We keep this list short on purpose. Each entry represents work we have taken to production and can talk about in specifics rather than in adjectives.

Frontend

Complex React applications

Data-heavy interfaces where the hard part is state, not styling: multi-tenant platforms, admin systems, SSR-safe internationalisation and design systems that survive more than one team.

Operations

Real-time operational dashboards

Control-room interfaces fed by live telemetry. Streaming updates, time-series charts, alarm surfaces and information hierarchy designed for people making decisions under time pressure.

WebSocketTime-seriesChartingAlarms
Data

IoT & telemetry pipelines

Device connectivity through to queryable history: protocol adapters, brokered ingestion, enrichment, retention policy and storage sized for the queries operators actually run.

MQTTModbusTimescaleDBEdge
Applied AI

AI & LLM integration

Language models wired into systems that already run: retrieval over your own documents, automation of manual queues, and self-hosted inference when data cannot leave your perimeter.

RAGOpenAIClaudeSelf-hosted
Infrastructure

Cloud & on-prem infrastructure

Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability, plus the migration path in either direction — cloud cost reduction, on-prem repatriation and hybrid deployments with a rollback plan.

Business systems

CRM, ERP & CMS platforms

Custom internal systems for organisations whose processes do not fit an off-the-shelf product: role models, approval flows, reporting and integration with what you already run.

How it fits together

Capabilities are the means, not the pitch

A dashboard is not valuable because it uses WebSocket. It is valuable because an operator sees a failing string within seconds instead of at the end of the month. Every capability on this page exists to serve an operational outcome in a specific domain.

That is also how we scope work. We start from what has to be true operationally, then choose the smallest technical footprint that makes it true and keeps it maintainable after we hand it over.

  • TypeScript across frontend, backend and tooling
  • Tests and code review inside implementation, not after it
  • Structured logging and tracing from the first deployment
  • Documented architecture decisions handed over with the code
  • Post-launch support by the people who built the system

FAQ

Capabilities versus industries

Industries are the domains. Expertise is the capability layer reused across them — React applications, dashboards, telemetry, AI, cloud and CRM.
Most projects combine two or three. A BESS monitor needs telemetry, dashboards and a React front end.
No. Usual work is RAG and model calls inside an existing operational product, hosted or self-hosted depending on data constraints.
Yes. Typical work is performance, design-system extraction, SSR and making a codebase that has become slow to change ship again.

Send the system you run and the constraint that hurts. We say what is straightforward, what carries risk, and reply within one business day.
